Germany I Wilhelm Weyers

Modern potato plant

Wilhelm Weyers has been a loyal customer for more than 30 years and invests in new Gillenkirch machines at regular intervals. In 2015, Krebbers Holding built a new building for the new high-performance and customised plant for processing dry potatoes. The total capacity of the plant is 15 to 20 tonnes per hour. It is divided into two main sections and connected by high-quality conveyor belts. The first part of the plant is used for receiving and preparing the products. The product is fed into the plant by means of a spacious receiving silo, passes through the dry polishing machine to prepare the product and then the defective products are sorted out manually via a sorting table. The intelligent design of the infeed conveyors provides the customer with versatile product handling options. The product can either be fed directly to the packing area or to the truck loading area, or it can be temporarily stored in the six bunkers. The second part of the line, the packing area, consists of a second sorting table, a Newtec computer scale for exact weighing of the desired portion sizes and two horizontal closing machines for packing into net bags with a packing weight of 2.5 kg to 25 kg. Here, too, the customer has the choice of either palletising the goods automatically or packing them manually into boxes. We thank Wilhelm Weyers and his daughter Julia Krebbers for the order and wish the company long-term success with the new investment.
